Week 31 - Realism*

This is an A3 acrylic painting taken from one of my paintings along the Grand Union Canal close to my house. I really tried to be realistic but my natural instinct to go impressionistic took over.
I'm not overly thrilled with all the brushstrokes, especially on the water - but sometimes you just have to decide to stop.

Again, much to my surprise - partly because it's more of an impression than realism - here it is amongst the picks. I'm beginning to feel spoiled by all this :) #illo52weeks Realism picks
